cups packed brown sugar
cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
bag (12 oz) butterscotch chips (2 cups)
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
In large bowl, beat brown sugar, softened butter, vanilla and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
On low speed, beat in flour, baking powder and salt until well blended. Stir in butterscotch chips. Spread evenly in pan.
Bake 25 to 28 minutes or until top is golden brown and center is set. Cool completely, about 1 hour 30 minutes. Cut into 6 rows by 6 rows.
- Drizzle Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting over bars for a more decorated look! In small microwavable bowl, microwave 1/4 cup frosting uncovered on High 10 to 15 seconds or until thin enough to drizzle. Using fork, drizzle warmed frosting over completely cooled bars. Let stand about 2 hours or until set.
- To make cutting bars easier, line pan with foil, leaving foil overhanging on two opposite sides for lifting out of pan, then grease foil. Bake bars in foil-lined pan. When bars are cool, use foil to lift them from pan and place on flat surface for cutting.
